This tradition is renewed, in Sandrigo the Bacalà Festival

Is renewed in Sandrigo from Tuesday 13 to Monday, September 26 the appointment with the Feast of Bacalà. Now in its 29th year, it is an opportunity for interaction between the citizen of Sandrigo and the community of Rost, a small island in the Norwegian Lofoten where cod is fished and dried, which can boast from the last year of origin marking PGI – Protected Geographical Indication given by the European Union. An event that involves every year more than 35,000 people for whom are prepared 80 tons of Baccalà alla Vicentina.



This year special attention will be given to celiac, gluten free croutons with Bacalà Mantecato and Baccalà alla Vicentina, prepared according to the official recipe but with the slices of cod floured with gluten free flour before being browned.

The official opening is scheduled for Tuesday, September 13th with the Grand Gala of Bacalà, this year dedicated to the Great War. From Friday 16 to Sunday 18 and then from Thursday 22 to Monday 26 will be active the food stands where you can taste the classic Baccalà alla Vicentina with polenta or dishes with Bacalà.
